What the hell is going on NOW?!

We're merging. Shifting. Changing. Becoming stronger, faster and glossier.

The main changes are that The Front View of THQ comes across to the new magazine at The View From Here -- and we're putting The Rear View on a sabbatical.

The View From Here publishes an excellent and professional print magazine monthly, as well as being available on line. It was time for THQ to bump things up to the next level, and offer contributors something more substantial.

Five years was a decent run for an online 'zine that saw more potholes than a country road, more drama than the back seat of a Vegas taxi and more shift changes than a truck stop diner. We handed out and received some excellent awards -- and when the hate mail started coming in, we knew we'd made it. Please continue to send your mail, your fiction, your thoughts -- and we'll still publish the best of them.

Over there. Where The View is better.

My eternal thanks to Lalo Fox and Shanna Karella for the years of effort and energy they put into the janitorial duties here at THQ. Lalo skillfully wrangled thousands of submissions and kept order in the 'office'. His gentle advice, confidence and professional edge were priceless. Shanna had wit, wisdom and poetry to keep us afloat when times got tough. Her ability to find anything at any given moment was truly amazing. I am deeply indebted to these two very talented writers, and wish them success.

Going on board with Mike & The Gang at TVFH wasn't an easy decision. When Ella (McCrystle) and I sparked up this baby some years ago, we didn't know what the hell we were doing but we knew we wanted to have some fun with it. We had more fun than you can imagine. I suggest you buy the book.

And someday, I'll write it. Until then, my secrets are my secrets and you can read us twice over at The View From Here.
