Having a neurotic and immature image of myself as a
virile and irresistible twenty-year-old

(while really being an overweight and balding
middle-ager),

I’m mostly only interested in beautiful and sexy
twenty-year-old females

(who never end up giving me the time of day).


I am however often hit upon by overweight and balding
middle-aged women

whom I spurn with a cavalier indifference

and then watch walk away alone

as both of us remain forever unlucky in love


and eternal supplicants to clubs who’ll never have us
as members.
