This Is Our LAST Issue!

For this year. Next year, THQ is going bi.
Annual, that is.
The Hiss Quarterly has a publisher and we're going to print twice a year while still remaining a favorite online entity -- in the fashion you've come to love over the last five years we will have the brazen boldness coupled with the impudent assurance and insolence to continue calling ourselves a quarterly because we can. Try to stop us. Go ahead. While you're at it, check out the new guidelines for themes and who to send your work to.

THQ would like to welcome the new janitors on duty, Amy Mahlum and Todd Heldt. The previous janitorial staff landed new office gigs and we hope that they stop by from time to time. However, Sydney Nash is still holding the mop. Blame her for any coding dilemmas, broken links, the crappy display on FireFox and the coffee rings on the manuscripts.

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together. See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly. I'm crying." -John Lennon

Careful consideration of the lyrics to many of the Beatles songs have led some to sheer insanity. There is an urban legend that a teacher John Lennon had while attending high school tried to find the meaning in some of his songs, and when he couldn't find a meaning in every song, he went to the media and said that some of the Beatles lyrics were completely meaningless.

Evidently this caused John to write "I am the Walrus", just to annoy him.

We hope it's a true story and we'd like to point you to the stories and poetry of our contributors in The Rear View Mirror & Front View sections when you've had all you can handle from our Featured Author. Enjoy the bent images of our Featured Artist (see the next column) and -- hey, be careful out there. This world is nuts.

This quarter's THQ AWARD belongs to "The Honey Land Review."
The Honey Land Review is a contemporary web journal dedicated to the poetry and photography of both emerging and established artists. We embrace work that pushes the boundaries of art and creativity and applaud risk takers.

I'm a person who laughs at the absurdities of life, which there are many. After four decades on Planet Earth, I feel I've finally found a way to bring into existance all of my crazy thoughts and ideas.
